It's all here, you put it together. Listen to the recording for the exact timing. This is how I play it, so there may be some mistakes. The bars aren't exact measures but how I broke the riffs down when transcribing this. I play riff C as written because it sounds crisp. It's a stretch to play but sounds okay when playing with a large amount of gain. Playing the sames notes higher up the neck sounds a little mushy to me. Wes plays a 7 string that's strung with two high E's so he probably plays the verse riff differently than I've transcribed. This song was broken up and made up parts of others on the Significant Other album. -------------|------------| -------------|------------| -------------|------------| -------------|------------| -------------|------------| -1--1-1-0-0-1|-5-0-5-0-5-5| Intro.: (Dist.) 3x Riff A - play it a total of 3 1/2 times. -------------|------------| -------------|------------| -------------|------------| -------------|------------| -------------|------------| -1--1-1-1-0-1|-5-0-5-0-5-5| 3x Riff B - play 4 x - notice the slight change. |-------|-------------------------|-6-6-6-6--------------------------| |-------|-------------------------|-2-2-2-2--etc.--------------------| |-------|-------------------------|----------------------------------| |-------|-------------------------|----------------------------------| |-------|-------------------------|----------------------------------| |-1-1-0-|-------------------------|---------------------------------| p.m. 15x Let me hear some noise Riff C There's definitely not enough... listen for rhythm |---------------------|---------------------------------------------- |---------------------|---------------------------------------------- |-1-1-0--1-1-0--6-0-6-|---------------------------------------------- |-1-1-0--1-1-0--6-0-6-|---------------------------------------------- |-1-1-0--1-1-0--6-0-6-|---------------------------------------------- Riff D 4x |-9-10-11-12*--13-12-14-13*--13-12-14-13*|-13-12-14-13*-| |----------------------------------------|--------------| |----------------------------------------|--------------| |----------------------------------------|--------------| |----------------------------------------|--------------| |----------------------------------------|--------------| (Clean tone) Verse riff - 2x add this after 2nd time *let last note of each sequence ring -10-10-11-11-12-11-14-13|--------------------------------------------- ------------------------|--------------------------------------------- ------------------------|--------------------------------------------- ------------------------|-1-1-0--1-1-0--6-0-6------------------------- ------------------------|-1-1-0--1-1-0--6-0-6------------------------- ------------------------|-1-1-0--1-1-0--6-0-6------------------------- then this (faster) 20x (Riff D) --9------9----|------------------------------------------------------- -12b14--12b14-|------------------------------------------------------- --------------|------------------------------------------------------- --------------|------------------------------------------------------- --------------|------------------------------------------------------- --------------|------------------------------------------------------- Play in time w/ dj; play Riff D - when he 'plays' this sample on 2nd part - listen for rhythm -----------------------------------------------9---------------------- ----------------------------------------------12b14b12b14------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --6------------------------------------------------------------------ --6------------------------------------------------------------------ --6------------------------------------------------------------------ I end with this but Wes, I believe, ends with the bend (as transcribed above) while abusing the whammy...
